Jamie Foxx’s attempt at national anthem panned by boxing fans

BOXING fans have been buzzing about the slaughter they witnessed inside a Las Vegas ring — Jamie Foxx’s bludgeoning of the “Star-Spangled Banner.”

                                                            

  Judges, in the court public opinion, scored a unanimous decision against the “Ray” actor and wannabe singer, who struggled mightily with the national anthem prior to Saturday night’s Floyd Mayweather — Manny Pacquiao bout.
“If there’s anything we all learned from this, it’s that Jamie Foxx can’t sing,” comedian Kathleen Madigan tweeted on Sunday.

Others were amazed that Foxx was even asked to perform the difficult tune when such recording-industry heavyweights like Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige and Justin Bieber were in the house.
“We have Beyonce and Mariah Carey on the bench and we start Jamie Foxx for the national anthem,” tweeted Sal Guerrero of the San Antonio Express-News.
The Mayweather-Pacquiao fight was attended host of celebrities, including some who galloped in from long distances.
